First of all i would like start my list by name of our solider who make us feel proud that we born from that Jaunsar Babar Area . Now wait is over for Popular leaders and Personalities of Jaunsar .

1. Shahed Veer Kesari Chand:

Freedom Fighter

In the memory of  freedom fighters we never forget our brave soldier Veer Kesari Chand .

He was born on 1st November 1920. Veer Kesari Chand was completed his graduation from Dav P.G college Dehradun .

Due to this sentiment, he was admitted to the Royal Army Service Corps on 10 April 1941.On 29 October 1941, Kesari Chand was deployed on the battle for Malaya. During this time, Kesari Chand was taken captive by the Japanese army.Inspired by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's slogan, "Give me blood, I will give you freedom" Kesari Chand Azad joined the Indian army. On May 3, 1945 at the age of 24, this brave warrior of Uttarakhand was hanged. Today the state government has forgotten their martyrdom, but people of the world can never forget them.

2. Late Mrs Devika Chauhan :

Famous Personality

Mrs Devika Chauhan is also known as the first graduate in Jaunsar area  at 1954 . Devika Chauhan was also became the first woman Block Development Officer of entire Uttar Pradesh. Finally she rose to the Assistant  Director of Tribal Welfare.

3. Late Mr Gulab Singh Chauhan :

Famous Personality

Mr Gulab Singh was a person who has a great contribution in development of Jaunsar bawar. He was the father of Mr Pritam Singh .  He was a famous politician of congress party .

4.  Mr Daulat Kunwar :

Famous Politician

A person who fight for dalits right in Jaunsar area. Mr Daulat Kunwar is also belongs to Bahujan Samaj Party . There is lots of criticism regarding upper and lower caste and Dalit Kunwar motive is to solve it. He also do lots of work which shows equality .

He is a person who knows that every person should be treated equally .

5. Madhu Chauhan:

Famous Politician

Madhu Chauhan is an example of women empowerment . She is now working as a Chairperson Zila Panchyat Dehradun. In 2000 she got married with Munna Singh Chauhan.

6. Munna Chauhan:

Famous Politician

Tribal strongman Munna Singh Chauhan along with his wife shows the increasing popularity of the BJP in the Jaunsar Bhawar. He also has won two times from Chakrata before the formation of the Uttrakhand state. Munna Chauhan is now the MLA from Vikasnagar of Dehradun region.

7. Mr Pritam Singh:

Famous Politician

Pritam Singh is an Indian Politician who is now the President of Uttarakhand Congress Committee. He is also became four time MLA from Chakrata Vidhan Sabha . Pritam Singh was born 4 November 1958 in Virnad village in Dehradun region. He got married with Anita Singh and has one daughter and one son.
