Almora is the most popular hill station of Uttarakhand state. it is the cultural capital of Kumoun region. this island of peace on a 5 km mountain range situated at an altitude of 1650 meters above sea level is in the shape of a horse shoe. Nearest railway station is at Kathgodam. Kathgodam railway station to almora city is about 91 km. Which can be covered by nearly 3 hours and for a cab it costs about rs 1500, one way. Kathgodam is connected to many cities in the state.

By Air :

Nearest airport is Pantnagar, which is about 125 km away from the heart of almora. Taxi costs about rs 1600/ from airport to Almora. Pantnagar is connected to Delhi on alternate days.
