Places to visit in Lakhamandal

Lakhamandal is a hiding place of Pandavas of Mahabharata. It is situated in the Jaunsar region of Dehradun. Lakhamandal is a tourist attraction place . It is located 105 km away from Dehradun and 85 km from Mossoorie. There are many places to visit in Lakhamandal. People visit here by buses and hiring car.

Places to visit in Lakhamandal Pandav Caves :

Pandav caves is a historical place of Mahabharat where they hiding during their Agyatwas.

2. Lord Shiva Temple :

It is an ancient temple looks like the temple at Kedarnath Peak. The followers of Lord Shiva visit every year . The temple also has two types of " Shivling " red and green which is believed to be from different eras.

How to reach Lakhamadal :

From Dehradun you can hire a car . It hardly take 5 hours to reach there by a car or bus.

Fastest Route to reach is from National Highway (NH). You can also reach here by Mossoorie .

My opinion is to use NH for travel because Mossoorie route is so busy and can face traffic there.
